PGA Head Golf Professional Michael Farewell
A native of the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, Mike moved to Northern Virginia in 1978. After high school, he was awarded a full golf scholarship to George Mason University and lead the Patriots to two consecutive conference championships in 1980-81.
Mike turned professional in 1986. Since then, he has played in over 150 PGA tournaments and has won 13 times. He still plays competitively in PGA tournaments.
Mike's Professional career as an Instructor started at the Goose Creek Golf Course in 1986. Before coming to Bowling Green, he was an instructor at several other golf courses including Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA.
Mike has been at Bowling Green Country Club for 5 years as the PGA Head Professional. He holds the course record for 18 holes at Bowling Green South with a stunning score of 61. Mike continues to instruct players of all ages and abilities. He enjoys helping all golfers improve their game!

Improve your complete short game with our spacious and rolling putting greens at both courses.
Practice Bunker
Overcome your fear of hitting out of the sand by taking shots out of our practice bunker located next to the driving range.
**The Driving Range is normally CLOSED every Monday starting at 3 pm and re-opens on Tuesday morning. This day and time may vary due to inclement weather and other special circumstances. Please call the South Pro-Shop at (540) 635-2883 to verify the daily hours for the Driving Range. Thank You.
